Why Does Reddit Hate Diablo and Blizzard?

During Blizzcon 2018 (November 3rd), Blizzard announced Diablo Immortal as a mobile only game (ahh, but also for the Switch). A member of the audience asked about Diablo Immortal coming to the PC and this was the response:

Right after the Blizzard comment, another member of the audience asked, “Is this an out of season April Fool’s joke” as seen here:

As any Redditor can imagine, the r/gaming community went crazy. Unfortunately, we made this website the week after the Blizzard backlash so we are unable to find all the posts related to Diablo Immortal. Hence the reason for us creating this site.

Note that Blizzard did not mention anything about Diablo 4. This enraged fans so much that the Activsion Blizzard stock was down almost 7% on the first day of trading after the Diablo Immortal announcement.

To make matters worse, Blizzard, specially Diablo, social accounts on YouTube, Twitter and Facebook refused to back down. Instead, they started deleting comments that were seen as negative. When they were backed into the corner, instead of giving the fans what they wanted, they swung back. As of Tuesday, November 6th, 2018, Blizzard continues to fight back.
